The theory of Henry Fayolis is based on the 14 principles of management. The principles are being developed by this scholar in the process of working as the engineer in a mining company and then became the director of the same company. The 14 basic developed principles are mentioned in the following (Bamberger & Biron, 2014).The division of work: this implies the division of work from which the employees gain specialized knowledge in order to execute a particular set of work. Thus, the output is enhanced due to the specialized skills and efficiency of the employees. The Authority: The managers are the authoritative personnel who direct and guide the employees. Hence, the managers need to be responsible also.Discipline: Discipline is another primary concern of the effective management system of the employees. In the organization, there should be adequate disciplines and the effort of the employees is also required.Unity of command: This states that the workers should be guided and instructed by a single manager or supervisor.
Unity of direction: This principle is based on the concept that there should be a common direction for the common objective of the organization. The entire team of the business organization should follow the common goal.Subordination of the individual interests of the general interests: This states that the interest of the organization should be the primary factor. The interest of any one or two people should not suppress the interest of the organization. Remuneration: This highlights the factor for deciding the pay of the worker or employees considering the present market situations. The market situations include the availability of the workers, the industry standard, costs of living, the skill and expertise of the workers or employees, and the financial ability of the business (Bamberger & Biron, 2014).Centralization: The centralization reduces the significance of the role of the subordinates in the organization whereas decentralization is the reverse process. Therefore, depending on the nature and culture of the organization, the degree of centralization and decentralization should be selected.
