There is no particular situation or condition where heroism can be exhibited or not. The case of Stacey shows the exact representation of the mentioned statement. Stacey went to the nearby hospital to visit her ailing grandmother. While she was approaching the doorway, she saw a woman holding a bag of medicines in one hand and a stroller in the other hand. Stacey immediately ran ahead of the woman, reached the door and opened it for the lady. The lady was extremely thankful to Stacey and in turn Stacey got to be the hero. If she had ignored the lady thinking that she can open the door easily by herself, then there would have been no notion of heroism involved in the act.
The process used for framing the stories of the six characters mentioned in this contextual analysis is described as follows. First of all, the different references for the stories are taken from literary sources such as ‘The Hero with a Thousand Faces’ and ‘The Wonder Woman Precedent’. Though there is no direct indication to the connection between views expressed in the books and the six stories presented here, the stories follow a common model known as the hero myth. The hero myth is a pattern used to fabricate stories from a predefined set of stages (Tesch, 2013).
However the actual setback is encountered in the designing and sketching process which is done with digital aids such as the SAI software from Systemax Software. The SAI software is painting software and also serves the purpose of a raster graphics editing software for the Microsoft Windows platform. Hereafter, I have listed down the procedures which I implemented in creation of the comic strips. The different processes related to draft formation; line art and colouring the grid are explained briefly in the remaining part of this report.
The most common mistake committed by majority of animation designers is the negligence towards the draft. The draft can be treated as the foundation for your creative work. I prepared the draft from the stories themselves. Each story had different environmental setups and people. Hence the difference between each strip was to be maintained. Storyboarding helped a lot in preparation of the draft (Tesch, 2013). The storyboarding primarily involved drawing the images as perceived by me in the stories.
