In contradiction with the Western Socratic approaches of dialogical teaching that gives importance to question, criticize, refute, argue, debate and persuade, and lay emphasis upon the participation of learners and co- constructing the knowledge, the Chinese teaching model of Confucian- heritage is known to be cherishing to transmit the knowledge and has the tendency of being teacher- directed (MacIntyre, 2009).
