Measurement of body circumference was selected as a factor for finding out diet habits as a variable (Health survey for England 2012). Those individuals having health issues for a longer period and had statistics on waistline, their statistics was compared with the scores of obesity between the range 0 and 4 depending upon the values of Body Mass Index. On conducting Pearson correlation analysis it was evident that there is no statistically essential relationship between scores of obesity and circumference of waistline.
On analysing the relationship present between individual’s blood pressure among men who were either over weight, under weight or normal weight with regard to their obesity scores using correlational analysis by Pearson, it was evident that statistically essential positive correlation is existing between scores of obesity and blood pressure (Health survey for England 2012). This further suggested that physical activity has an extreme influence on the scores of obesity as r values have positivity and are closer to 1 or lesser than 0.05.
Correlational Analysis using Pearson tool was done on women having blood pressure, who are under weight, have over weight or under normal weight with regard to the scores of obesity for analysing the connection between them (Health at a glance 2013). It was further implied that r value of Pearson is close to 1 illustrating achievement of statistical advantage as p is lesser than 0.05. This in turn suggested that physical activity has an influence on the scores of obesity.
According to the report of McKinsey Global Institute, 2014, obesity is the second prominent issue influencing UK individuals health with smoking being the first and the issue costs population groups across UK 45 billion dollars as of 2014. Therefore, a major role is played by this report as it illustrates the findings by analysing through use of statistical techniques and descriptive variable datasets regarding this health issue (Health at a glance 2013). There exists a direct relationship as per the analysis in this report, between physical activity, obesity and diet intake. These three are inter-related in a way that the deformities in any one of the mentioned issues results in deforming the whole balance of health with regard to an individual (Social science research methods, 2014). The data results revealed that even though only over a period of 1 year but the condition of obesity is still growing. The relationship is interrelated in a way that the statistics revealed a conformity. Obtaining data was extremely easy as available on the government site along with being sufficient to reveal the true status that the objective of the study maintained.
