McDonald claims that its supply chain is sustainable. The company focuses on three’ E’s which includes ethics, the environment and the economy. Supply chain forms to be a complicated network of direct and indirect supplier’s clear standards of quality and efficiency. The operation facilities of the indirect suppliers include the grain mill and slaughter houses, farms which produces the wheat, planting the cattle and lettuce and other necessary components. The distribution center coordinates the procurement and distribution to the restaurant. Finally, the processing facilities include the production of finished products such as drinks, bread and meat.The food products of McDonalds are similar to that of any fast food chain. It serves many fast food products other than the burgers in the restaurants throughout the word. The burgers and other food products of the company are customized as per the taste of the local people. Its philosophy has been to create a one burger for the one world. Headquarters of the company are situated in Oak Brooks, Illinois, US (Ralf and Michels, 1998).
