The reason of this suggestion is that recent internet websites and applications give access to the material, which requires parental guide. This research focuses on the purpose of social media use among 15-30 year olds, their interaction with people on social media, their concerns and demands about social media.This report analyses the aforementioned metrics to evaluate the usage of social media platforms within the city. It is very important to examine people’s behaviour, preferences and approach towards social media in order to identify the current trend of social media in the society. It is essential to understand the choices of platforms of target age group, how they use these platforms to contact their acquaintances and their approach towards making new friends through social media. It is also important to know the purpose for which they use social media mostly, the hours they spent on social media per day, the type of information and content they like to share on social media, their satisfaction to the terms of privacy and the improvements they foresee.
This information is gathered by the method of surveying and recording questionnaire responses. A questionnaire has been designed and information was collected from people of various ages, ranging from 15 years to 30 years. This survey form helps to collect real world information which would likely to provide accurate and true information about the trend of social media use by the people of targeted age group. They responses are taken from total 38 samples. These 38 samples were asked to respond to the above matters along with few others. These responses are evaluated in this report to construct a considerate trend of social media use among people.The information gathered from the survey is critically analysed in this section to draw an outline trend of social media use.
