Silva et al. (2012) identifies trust based on shared values, communication and opportunistic behaviour and Chen et al. (2014) analyses trust from dominant Confucian values, hierarchy and rationalism. The research aim was to explore the role of trust in interfirm relations of international businesses, in the context of joint ventures. Mohr (2004) presented in his research that there are multidimensional aspects to trust and hence it would be necessary to consider the impact of such aspects in a general trend. Now based on the multidimensional aspects of trust that could be tied up with other factors of the workplace such as productivity makes the exploration more complex and broad. The research aim will hence be to identify the constituents of a trust framework with respect to international joint business venture. Firstly, different constituents or themes of trust are identified from secondary research data. from secondary research. Secondly, these dimensions or themes are then used as basis to construct a questionnaire which would be presented to human resources managers in two or more international joint venture based out of the United Kingdom.
