In order to be able to answer as to how the education system and the students are impacted by cultural diversity, we have made used of varied scholarly articles pertaining to the topic. It has been observed during the course of the study that there is an urgent need to formulate a ‘culturally responsible pedagogy’ for any educational institution that facilitates diversity within its classrooms (V. Richards, F. Brown & B. Forde, 2006). The pedagogy must however address the ‘institutional, personal and instructional’ factors that affect the students and teachers alike. While the institution is encouraged to form policies that reflect a just system of distribution of pupils in the class and the admission of students of various cultures, the teachers are motivated to engage in personal and instructional measures to make students feel comfortable with the evident diversity that exists in the real world.
