The emphasis in education industry has gradually shifted from teaching to learning and from teachers managing students to students maintaining their own direction (Argyris & Schön, 1974). In past couple of decades, interest has developed in the education industry to let the students assess their own abilities as well as allowing other students to assess the work of a fellow student (known as peer assessment). At present, most reputed degree courses focus on the goal of making students a lifelong learner of new things and skills as well as an effective member in team environments. Peer assessment as well as self-assessment is a new trend in the education industry that is being used by the education institutions in assigning grades to degree course students. The aim of this approach is to make the grading of the student skills more accurate and efficient. However, despite the increasing use of this new trend, there has been little study in published literary work about the opinion of students about inclusion of peer assessment in their grading method, and what methods the student use to assess the skills of fellow group member (Callahan, 2007). This paper makes use of the theoretical approach to assess the impact of peer-assessment in degree courses and the effectiveness and accuracy of such a method. It is sometimes stated in the literary works that to be able to really benefit from the use of peer-assessment in degree course, it is essential to first provide training to the students about how they should grade the other students along with a quite easy to follow guideline to help them do so.
