Narrative of a music video is essentially the story that the video wishes to explain to the audience. There are different forms of narrative structure that has been observed in the musical videos. However, many of the directors use common themes to develop narrative styles of their preference. There are many distinctive style of narration that has been observed. The style of narration depends on the interpretation by the individual music directors. In the song “don’t say goodbye” By Davichi, there is a definitive narrative story that is essayed in the song. The song is a medium tempo song that is used to represent a simple love theme. These songs essay certain themes and there is a story behind which can be easily understood. In the song “Up and Down” by EXID, there is an abstract narrative theme. The audience cannot easily construe the elements. There is a need to look into the other elements such as visualization, set design, aesthetical view and choreography to understand the narrative theme. Korean songs also have a number of symbolizations that are embedded into the song structure. It takes multiple viewing to understand the complete narrative of a song. Each prop that is used in the design is actually symbolizations of a number of elements.

This allows the users to contemplate on the element and visuals to understand the meaning. There are also gaps in the narratives to ensure that the audiences fill them. These gaps in the songs and symbolizations are left abstract in many songs for the people to make interpretations. This increases the relatable factors of the song. These abstract narrative themes such as EXID are also popular owing to the interesting and unique presentation.It has been found that the Korean music uses locales that are both real and artificial (Howard et al., 2006). In the song “remember” by Apink a girl and a number of interesting locales have been found in the song. They have primarily focused the songs in a beach, yacht and also are shot near the greener areas. There is a wonderful visual aesthetics that has amalgamated a number of colors. The color contrast and the lighting perfectly blend with the light-hearted theme of the songs. These allow the users to transcend and imagine the place through the visual, tone and presentation of the song.
