Third generation of Tesla cars won’t have aluminum parts. Aluminum was used previously because they were light weight and more safe in the case of accidents. A number of luxury cars such as jaguars use aluminum to ensure safety (Nykvist & Nilsson, 2015). But aluminum mass production costs a lot. It is very difficult to make the parts out of aluminum. It is not feasible nor is there technology to make low cost production and usage of this element. There are also infrastructure issues associated with aluminum (Hardman, Shiu, & Steinberger-Wilckens, 2015). Aluminum is a very tricky metal. Unlike steel, it is very difficult to bend and make changes. Steel is more feasible even though they weigh more heavily than aluminum. Hence the issue of aluminum has proven to be a major issue for Tesla. Tesla might have been the pioneer to start creation of electronic cars on a mass scale. But there is a need for more technology to ensure that they produce the requirement from an environmental and economic standpoint.

The Toyota Financial services have issued Asset backed green bond program for 1.6 billion USD (Bonds,& Downey, 2015). This is one of the pioneering efforts by an auto company to develop the green bond market. The main source of the journals employed in this study was the EBSCO host library. The arguments presented in this study were carefully selected from the secondary data collected through the application of search terms such as ‘Tesla Motors’, ‘Tesla Motors and the enactment of environmental responsibility’, and ‘Tesla Motors and sustainable development’.
