It has been identified from the above discussion and analysis that the buyer-supplier power and exchange outcomes are important for the management of organization from various perspectives of variance in quality, availability of product and variance in the product cost (Tangpong et al., 2015). These three are the major variables that can be affected due to the power relations of buyer-supplier. However, there are several other variables that are indirectly affected due to power position of the buyer and supplier and the manner of their association.
It has been established through the research that the exclusive strategic partnerships can be formed to leverage the benefits of the supplier’s network technology, contributions and innovations. However, the balance in the power position is essential in order to establish a win-win situation in the buyer-supplier association (Tanskanen, 2015). The indirect variables affected by the power position ranges from the return on sales to the return on investments that impacts the organizational profitability and growth. Therefore, it can be concluded that the buyer-supplier power holds importance for the management.
