This entrepreneurship ideology is a form that is used to discuss about the implicit understanding behind the notions of being the entrepreneur. It is a carefully constructed practice that is an integration of the practices of the entrepreneurs, media representation of the entrepreneurs and the existence of literature that shows how the nuances of entrepreneur. In this structure there is an androcentric entrepreneur ideology that is found to be given a lot of focus. Ogbor (2000) states that the notion of entrepreneurship has taken a discriminatory ethnocentric approach which overlooks the importance of the role of the female entrepreneur. It seems to be that the patriarchy in the society takes on the role of an aggressive stand of the entrepreneurs in the society. The patriarchal notion in the society creates a paradigm where the dominant male group rather the privileged group in the society takes on a stand that is more focused towards furthering their self preservation.
In this process the women are overlooked. This creates a paradigm where the women in the society are overlooked. This however has shifted in the past few decades. The reminiscence of the earlier ideologies related to entrepreneurship continue to pervade in the societies. There is a need to understand and deconstruct the role of women entrepreneurs in the society to understand their role and significance in the current paradigm (Bruni, Gherardi & Poggio, 2004). Hence the entrepreneur is considered to be a person who has deep business acumen and a sense of aggressiveness that are considered to be the primal male instinct. In spite of these ideologies the women entrepreneurs have existed. This is probed in the section below.
